Mandee joined JAKALA in 2021 after six years as Assistant Director of Digital Strategy at Penn State, where she led the transformation of the university’s flagship website, its news platform, and the digital presence for 20 Commonwealth campuses. She specializes in strategy for institutions with complex stakeholder environments — website analytics, UX research, redesign roadmapping, content optimization, and training — tailored to the realities of higher education, nonprofits, and sports/media/entertainment organizations. She is a sought-after presenter on AEO/GEO, media, and DXP across industries.
Chaney is a former marketing and communications executive with 20 years of experience across the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, advising Fortune 500 companies, top-tier universities, and multinational enterprises on digital strategy — with an emphasis on marketing technology, CRM implementation, organizational capacity building, change management, and technology adoption. Before joining JAKALA, she ran marketing and communications programs at Stanford University and UC Berkeley and served as Director of Marketing and Customer Experience for Rick Steves’ Europe.
